ABA GENERAL MEETING MINUTES JANUARY 31, 2023

  3. Welcome to K
    ABA Advisory sign is made by Stephanie to share information with special need parents. It is on February 28, 2023 – 6:30 to 8:30 at the district building.
  4. ABA Documents and Home to School Collaboration Documents
    Colin R and Carla G to meet with school principals to update everyone on home to school collaboration.
    There is now one single ABA form. Home to School is a two page document.
    ABA is now offered to Non G designated kids.
    There is no Minimum/Maximum visits for observation and no limit on who can visit school for observation.
  5. In Lieu Day
    Support workers are entitled to take a day off in Lieu and are encouraged to take it off on a Pro D Day, if not there is no coverage. If not taken on a Pro D Day then they need to get pre approved and the child could be without the support.

When are the forms due this year?
March 31st, 2023

What if there is ABA SW but no program is place and no data is being taken?
Parents should talk to school principals and make sure to create goals in the IEP and including Data collection is a must.

With all the changes with EA/ABA where are we at with the student centered support?
School Based, school decides the hour allocation as per needs of the students that is why it is important to include everything in the IEP including data collection.

Does the district ever have their psychologists or autism team to come out and see kids with severe issues?
Yes,but needs referral.

Continuity and Seniority?

Is there any after school activity or sports for special needs in HS?

Switching over EA/ABA for next year – does the document go to school and not the district and is it optional?
